What is your past work experience/education?

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art/Graphic Design from Michigan State University. Upon graduating, I worked as a graphic designer specializing in publication design. Next up was inside sales in the garment manufacturing industry and eventually moved on to working with interior designers at the Michigan Design Center. Leading up to CAI Designs, I worked in various showrooms at the MDC: B.Berger; Thybony; Duralee; Robert Allen; Baker/Rozmallin.

Where were you raised?

In Grosse Pointe, Michigan on the shores of beautiful Lake Saint Clair – the little lake between Lake Huron and Lake Erie.

What is your most rewarding project and why?

It is easy to love the big projects, but I get as much satisfaction in tracking down and securing the last yard of a discontinued fabric for a designer in desperate need to complete a project.

In your experience working with C.A.I. Designs thus far, what is/are some of your favorite product lines and why?

As a new hire, I am selling Thibaut product – a favorite – and previously sold Thibaut in the Thybony, Duralee and Rozmallin Showrooms.

What is your favorite color?

Turquoise.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I have enjoyed a long devotion to theater arts, from grade school through college and many years following with Grosse Pointe Theatre as a dancer, choreographer, set designer and director.

If you could travel back in time, where/when would you go and why?

Ancient Egypt – I am curious to know how the pyramids were engineered and built.

How would you characterize your design style?

Curated over a period of time with various style influences.

What is your favorite food?

Italian – it’s in the DNA!

What is your favorite TV series?

Frasier – I watch the reruns.

Anything else you would like to share?

I have been fascinated with textiles since the age of five, and the fascination never ends.
