Meet Lindsey | Denver Furniture Specialist

Where were you raised?
I was born and raised in the Denver Metro area

What is your past work experience/education?
Between visiting job sites with my dad and building our own home, I knew from an early age that I wanted to be an interior designer. My first job in the industry was in 2007 as a showroom intern at Eisen & Associates in college. After graduating, I worked in sales for a couple of years before going on to do design for the next decade. In 2021 I came back to the showroom side of the industry, doing both inside and outside sales.

Where do you draw inspiration from?
Mother Nature is our best designer! Everywhere you look there is endless inspiration for color, texture and pattern.

What is your most rewarding project and why?
When I was working in design, I partnered with an architect to transform a local historic hotel into affordable housing units. It combined my passion for saving historic buildings while also giving back to the community. The residents previously lived in the building with no kitchens; seeing them move back into an updated, functional space was special.

In your experience working with C.A.I. Designs thus far, what is/are some of your favorite product lines and why?
Working with designers to bring their vision to life is such a fun part of what we do! I gravitate to Kolkka and Old Biscayne Designs for their bespoke capabilities. Also, Julian Chichester for their fun and whimsical MCM designs.

What is your favorite color?
Tie between blue and green.

What do you like to doin your spare time?
Love traveling and exploring new places and cultures. All the arts and crafts! Gardening. Reading. Spending time in nature. Sharing a good meal with friends and family.

If you could travel backin time, where/when would you go and why?
I would go back to the early twentieth century to meet my Chippewa ancestors. “Granny” was a well-known medicine woman and healer. I would like to learn more about how she lived and utilized nature to make everything from medicine to woven rugs.

How would you characterize your design style?

Boho. A mix of vintage and new – spaces that tell a person’s story.

“Take your pleasure seriously” Charles Eames
