Heather with Ngala Pendant

My favorite find is the new Mud Thatch Dome terracotta Pendant by Ngala Trading. It has a hint of an artistic ceramic studio piece that one may find in an old clay studio in Europe. I love the old-world charm.

The coloration is also unique and has a painterly presence . It is as if I am traveling to a place where I can cook and make art with a wonderful view of a countryside. I see is as a village with rolling hills and the hint of cinnamon. I think this will make a very interesting light fixture for our clientele and I love that it comes in 3 colors!

The Anders Loveseat by Baker Furniture is my favorite find. A perfect design and perfect comfort, the new Anders upholstery has a unique arm cushion detail that is both attractive and comfortable. This piece is new to our Indianapolis showroom and is also available as a sofa and lounge chair.

My favorite find is the Cannon Sofa by Tomlinson. It is featured in our Indianapolis showroom in olive green velvet, a beachwood finish, and a unique side wood accent. This sofa is my favorite pick because of the smooth olive green fabric and how it is complimented by the beachwood sides and backing.

The Fiori Chandelier by Lib&Co. is my favorite find. This light fixture resembles an illuminated flowering branch, with a network of gracefully
twisting golden stems forming its structure. These gold leaf branches are exquisitely detailed handmade glass blossoms in both frosted
white and clear finishes, each petal delicately shaped to catch and diffuse the light.

I love the combination of matte and transparent flowers which create a layered, ethereal glow
that feels both artistic and botanical. It would be really nice in a dining room or main bathroom.

The Orchid Bouquet by Treemasters is my favorite find. Multiple faux plants come together to create a beautiful arrangement that can be used anywhere in the home. I have orchids at home and love to watch them develop new blossoms. This arrangement is very life like and a stunning display of blooms.

The Metamorphosis Large Vase by Bomma is my favorite find. This smoked amber glass vase looks like a dragon egg! It’s different from what we have in our other showrooms—ours is a little smokier. Bomma creates these vases from lighting pieces that didn’t work for them, which I think is very neat, creating something out of nothing.

The Roxy Swivel Tilt Tub Chair by Thayer Coggin is my favorite find. We have a pair featured in our Indianapolis showroom, upholstered in a fun velvet print. I love the chair’s compact frame and the velvet makes it feel irresistibly cozy and inviting.

The Modena Chandelier by Lib&Co. is my favorite find. The Modena is a modern, sculptural chandelier with an organic, nature-inspired design. Each arm ends in a teardrop shaped glass shade, resembling delicate flower buds. The glass shades have a textured or seeded interior, which diffuses the light into a warm, glowing effect. Even though it’s dramatic, it doesn’t overpower a space in a harsh way. It draws you in softly.

It reminds me of walking through the woods as a kid, where the light filtered through leaves and everything felt a little magical. It’s sculptural and modern, but still emotional and nostalgic.

What is your past work experience/education? 
Right after college I went into office furniture, building, project management, and logistics. I tried my hand in sales in a different field and eventually came back to furniture!

Where were you raised?
I was raised just north of Bloomington.

What is your favorite color?
Black.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love building legos, going to antique stores and finding wooden ducks.

If you could travel back in time, where/when would you go and why?
I would go back to the nineties to experience them as an adult.

How would you characterize your design style?
Black and gold aesthetic.

Do you have a favorite quote?

The Grasse Dining Chair by Alfonso Marina is my favorite find. Elegant and sophisticated with old world style, it features a cane back and decorative grass rod accents that create a beautifully detailed profile. A gentle slope to the arms and a cushioned seat invite long, leisurely dining, while subtle gold striping adds an extra touch of refinement.
