The Monterey Cabinet by Julian Chichester is my favorite find. Created by Bernard London x Julian Chichester, the Monterey Collection draws inspiration from the natural curves and fluidity of their heartland along the rugged coastline of Northumberland in the UK.

What make the Monterey Cabinet from Julian Chichester my favorite find of the month is the unexpected pairing of the Monterey Blue Lacquer, the cork door fronts, and the brass inlay. Three beautiful finishes in their own right but when paired together truly create something special. Julian Chichester proves once again they are a leader in bridging classic craftmanship with contemporary style.

The Rene Cazares London Low King Bed and Del Toro Bench are my favorite finds this month.

The London bed features a wood trim detail on the headboard and footboard. There are three headboard heights to choose from, which makes this bed accommodate many different spaces. We decided to go with the Low headboard for our showroom. We paired the London bed with the Del Toro bench, which is also by Rene Cazares. The bench has a generous cushion that is very comfortable and a beautiful wood base that can be customized into different lengths to suit each project.

Rene Cazares is a leader in modern and contemporary furniture and case goods manufacturing based in Los Angeles, California since 1986. Most products can be customized and with well over 1500 fabrics and leathers, it is very easy to make it unique to each project. Rene Cazares is well known for timeless craftsmanship, modern styling, and an incredible fabric collection. The team at Rene Cazares takes the utmost dedication in building furniture using the finest materials, expert tailoring, and superior comfort.

The Coco Swivel Chair by Rene Cazares is my favorite find this month. It is shown in our Denver location in a Pago Natural fabric.

I love the design while it’s still very comfortable; the chair-and-a-half size makes it easy to relax. I also love Rene’s process. They manufacture each piece at their family-owned facility in California, where it is meticulously over engineered using all kiln-dried hardwoods, 8.5-gauge sinuous wire, and cushions engineered specifically for each piece.

What is your past work experience/education? 
Right after college I went into office furniture, building, project management, and logistics. I tried my hand in sales in a different field and eventually came back to furniture!

Where were you raised?
I was raised just north of Bloomington.

What is your favorite color?
Black.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love building legos, going to antique stores and finding wooden ducks.

If you could travel back in time, where/when would you go and why?
I would go back to the nineties to experience them as an adult.

How would you characterize your design style?
Black and gold aesthetic.

Do you have a favorite quote?

The Gaston Platform King Bed by Verellen is my favorite find this month. The oversized head board is so inviting, and the stunning curvilinear back adds a touch of sophistication to any bedroom. The fabric is a soft boucle, and the wood detail from the back makes it a personal favorite from Verellen.

The bed is oversized, but the style is timeless, and the fabric is a blend of linen and wool, so comfortable to the touch. Great to lie in bed reading on a Sunday afternoon.

The Pouf Ottoman by Cisco Home is my favorite find. We have two shown in our Scottsdale showroom in a beautiful green velvet and tufted detail.  The ottoman comes in different sizes and many fabric options and is made in the USA.

It is so versatile and can be a fun addition to any living room, play room, or bedroom.

The Thedford Swivel Chair by Wesley Hall is my new favorite find.  I love the comfort, the look, and the ability to do an easy combo! It is made in North Carolina by a family owned business abd offers a big sit with a small footprint. The piece on our Arlington Heights showroom floor features a nail head trim detail that I love. Its just enough!

It is also shown in our Chicago showroom in a stunning Frisco Sailboat leather.

The Jimmy Swivel Glider by Thayer Coggin is my favorite find. It’s shown in our Arlington Heights in color 2266-05 and has a tall back with a back cushion that flips up to fluff the cushion. The chair is great for all heights with a nice gliding feature.

This is my favorite find because the chair has a supportive tall back that you can lean on and relax comfortably. I love the brushed bronze base. The smooth gliding feature has a calming effect and the fabric has a light and airy feel, that will brighten any room.
